I do understand that anyone can own ampere but may I know how is the performance per watt vs Nvidia latest arm cpu-s, Amazon arm cpu-s and totally locked in apple silicon.

Why is this not covered by @tomshardware or @anandtech

Not that "green" and "sustainability" is really "needed", but when the power consumption to the relative performance goes down, it totally makes sense to invest in such hardware, even from purely financial standpoint, as one day the power consumed during continued use of older tech would outweigh the savings achieved by not using newer designs that eat less power to do the same amount of work. Anyone can understand that.

Key question for Ampere is however - x86 (Intel + AMD) has a significant Market share - what is ampere with custom ARM architecture doing to make a significant dent? The Answer? Does it have government back doors like Intel's management engine has? Can it have libreboot or core boot open source bios on them? Looking to avoid all the problems with the current brands.

I am super excited about your CPUs, though it seems impossible for a individual to buy these. I really don't want to rent your CPU through a cloud provider for nearly $3k a month.

Several years ago I purchased a Gigabyte ATX motherboard with an X-Gene 1 ARM CPU and ECC DRAM support. I would be interested in upgrading but not able to find anything with similar capabilities in 1000-2000 USD range. Hope one day Ampere + partners can develop a proper successor for the Gigabyte MP30-AR1 motherboard. Thank you
